Outside dirt and oils naturally occurring in your dogs skin can build up on the collar and harnesses, even though our padding offers some protection. If this is left, it can damage the leather and will begin to look worn and old.

If your pooch loves to splash about or at any opportunity jump into water or it has rained while you’ve been out, you will need to get the leather dry:

• remove it as soon as you get home, and lay it down on a towel or  alternatively hang it out but off radiators or direct sunlight (direct heat can damage the leather and distort and warp its shape) until it’s dry.
